Collection: ItaliaForno Pizza Ovens

ItaliaForno pizza ovens are made in Italy and sized for the spaces most outdoor ovens ignore. Three compact gas ovens, the Allegro, the Bambino and the Fornello, share one 15.7 inch floor, one 23,900 BTU propane burner and a 21.7 by 22.4 inch footprint under three different domes, so the choice between them is the shape you want on a balcony, a townhome patio or a small deck. The Famiglia adds a wider body and a 30,709 BTU burner for a 14 to 16 inch pizza, and the Grande Pro Duo is the one hybrid in the line, 75,000 BTU of propane, a wood fire, or both at once on a 31.5 inch floor that holds two large pizzas.

All five are propane ovens with the adapter for a standard US tank in the box, a pilot flame and a push button igniter, and a refractory floor that preheats in 30 to 50 minutes and then holds its heat pizza after pizza. They reach 1,000°F with a recommended cooking ceiling of 850°F, carry a two year residential warranty, and live outdoors in the open under a cover when they are not lit. Two stainless carts go with them, the compact oven cart for the three compacts and the Grande Pro Duo cart for the big one, each with a shelf for the tank, and the infrared thermometer reads the floor rather than the air.

Every ItaliaForno oven ships boxed on a pallet from the brand's Texas warehouse, in stock as we write this and usually on the truck within 7 business days, with liftgate delivery to your driveway. ItaliaForno sets its prices and holds them at every dealer, so the same oven costs the same everywhere and the difference is who answers when you have a question; here that is the owner, by chat or email, usually the same day. The pizza oven buying guide covers how a gas oven compares with wood fired and hybrid, and the countertop and freestanding cart collections show the ItaliaForno line beside the other ovens that sit on a counter or roll on a stand.

Why ItaliaForno

ItaliaForno pizza ovens fill a gap in the outdoor oven market that the big names leave open: a gas oven built in Italy, with a refractory floor and a proper dome, that fits where a brick oven or a full size stainless oven cannot. ItaliaForno is a woman owned American brand; its ovens are built in Sicily by a family maker with more than sixty years of oven making behind it, recognized in 2016 with the "Sicilians at Home and in the World" honor, and the brand's own line for the range is "One of Italy's Finest Pizza Ovens, Now Made for Your Backyard." Their brand story is short and worth the two minutes.

What that buys at the cooking floor is the reason to choose an ItaliaForno over the portable gas ovens that dominate this price range. Every model cooks on refractory tile under a steel dome, preheats in 30 to 50 minutes with the door on, and then holds its heat pizza after pizza instead of recovering between them. The burner runs on propane from a standard US tank through the adapter in the box, lights on a pilot flame with a push button igniter, and turns down to a simmer for roasting once the pizzas are done. They reach 1,000°F; ItaliaForno asks you to cook at 850°F or below for the life of the tiles.

The honest comparison inside our own catalog is with the Halo Versa 16 at the low end and the stainless hybrids at the top. The Halo is lighter, cheaper and rotates its stone; a compact ItaliaForno is a heavier, hotter oven with a bigger floor for a buyer who wants an Italian built oven that stays put. The Grande Pro Duo plays in the same field as the other hybrid pizza ovens we carry, and its page compares them on the three numbers that matter.

Compare the ItaliaForno Lineup

Five ovens, two carts and a thermometer, and the five ovens sort themselves by one question: how much floor do you need and how much space do you have. The three compacts are one oven in three shapes; the Famiglia is the wider single oven; the Grande Pro Duo is the hybrid for a table of eight. Prices are set by ItaliaForno and are the same at every dealer.

Which ItaliaForno Pizza Oven Is Right for You

Allegro, Bambino and Fornello: the ones to buy for a balcony, a townhome patio or a small deck

The three compacts exist for the small space a bigger oven will not fit, and that is the entire reason we carry them. A 21.7 by 22.4 inch footprint and 100 pounds is an oven one person can set on a rail table or the compact cart, and the 15.7 inch refractory floor cooks one 12 to 13 inch pizza at a time at real pizza temperature. They share everything that matters, so the choice is the dome: the Allegro is the rounded barrel that reads smallest on a balcony, the Bambino is the octagon with the most presence on a patio, and the Fornello is the five sided dome that sits as easily on an outdoor kitchen counter as on a townhome slab. Skip them if you feed a crowd; one pizza at a time is the deal, and a table of eight means cooking in shifts.

Famiglia: the one to buy for a 16 inch pizza in a backyard with room

The Famiglia keeps the compacts' 15.7 inch floor and adds the wider 30 inch body, the 122 pound build and a 30,709 BTU burner, which is what lets it take a 14 to 16 inch pizza and recover faster between them. It is the oven for a family that cooks a full size pizza every weekend and has a patio, not a balcony, to put it on. Skip it if the space is tight, because the compacts fit where it does not and cook the same 15.7 inch floor, and ask us before you pair it with a cart: ItaliaForno lists the compact cart for the three compacts and photographs the Famiglia on it, and we confirm the fit with the brand rather than guess.

Grande Pro Duo: the one to buy for two pizzas at once, gas, wood or both

The Grande Pro Duo is a different animal: a 31.5 inch refractory floor, a 75,000 BTU burner along the left wall, room for a wood fire on the right, and 420 pounds of mass that holds heat like a brick oven. Two 14 inch pizzas cook side by side with a wood fire beside them, and the oven roasts for an hour on stored heat after. It sits on the Grande Pro Duo cart, a block base or a masonry counter. Skip it if it has to move again after it lands, or if the pizza night is a family of four; the Famiglia does that job for half the money and a quarter of the weight.

Who should skip ItaliaForno altogether

Be honest about three things before you order. First, every ItaliaForno oven is propane only. There is no natural gas option today, and on the four gas only models a wood fire voids the warranty; if you want to cook on wood, the Grande Pro Duo is the only ItaliaForno that does, and the wood fired pizza ovens collection is the place for a wood only buyer. Second, these are outdoor ovens in the open: 8 inches from walls, 20 inches each side of the chimney, 40 inches above it, never in a garage, a screened porch or under a roof. On a balcony that means open sky overhead, and many buildings and HOAs restrict propane on balconies regardless of what the oven allows; check the rules before the oven, not after.

Third, a cover is a warranty condition, not a suggestion. ItaliaForno does not list its own cover yet, so we point every buyer to one that fits their oven when they order, and the two year residential warranty excludes corrosion on an oven left uncovered. Buyers who want a burner they can leave out in the weather should buy a stainless oven with a coated body, and buyers who want a wood fire under a small oven should look at the Maximus Mobile instead.

Shipping, Warranty, and Buying From Crustify

Every ItaliaForno oven ships boxed on a 48 by 48 inch pallet from the brand's warehouse near Houston, Texas, in stock as we write this and usually on the truck within 7 business days. Every order over $750 ships free, and the one delivery charge is the $95 residential liftgate fee every pallet oven on this site carries at checkout, for the gate the driver needs to lower the pallet to your driveway; commercial addresses with a dock get it refunded on request. Delivery is curbside. We do not ship ovens to Alaska, Hawaii or Puerto Rico, and remote addresses can draw a carrier surcharge that we confirm with you before the oven ships.

Inspect the box before you sign, note any damage on the delivery receipt, and report it to us within 24 hours, which is ItaliaForno's window. Unused ovens in their original packaging can be returned within 14 days with the return freight paid by the buyer, so measure the space and read the clearances before you order. The compacts are a one person lift; the Famiglia is two; the Grande Pro Duo is two people and a plan.

The warranty is two years, residential outdoor use, for the original purchaser, and it holds when the oven is installed in the open on a non combustible base, connected to propane the way the manual describes, cooked at 850°F or below, and covered whenever it is not lit. The door, the refractory tiles, the gaskets and the igniter battery are consumables. Commercial use, indoor or enclosed installation and use in a vehicle are excluded. ItaliaForno sets a strict MSRP and every dealer sells at it, which is why our price and theirs match to the dollar and why these ovens are excluded from every Crustify coupon code. What separates dealers is delivery included and who answers when you have a question.

At Crustify the answer comes from the owner. Ask which dome suits the space, whether a balcony will pass the rules, what hose and regulator your setup needs at the oven's inlet, or whether the Famiglia or a compact is the better buy, through the contact page or the chat, and you get a real answer, usually the same day. Financing is available at checkout.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Your Questions Answered Before You Buy

These are the questions buyers ask most about ItaliaForno pizza ovens before they order. If yours is not here, the chat goes straight to the owner and a real answer typically comes the same day.

🍕 Where are ItaliaForno pizza ovens made? ▼
In Italy, in Sicily, by a family oven maker with more than sixty years of building ovens, for ItaliaForno, a woman owned American brand. The ovens are shipped to the brand's warehouse near Houston, Texas, and delivered from there. Every one is handmade, so dimensions can vary slightly from the published figures, and the Made in Italy stamp on the body is the real thing.
🍕 Are ItaliaForno ovens gas or wood fired? ▼
Propane, with one exception. The Allegro, Bambino, Fornello and Famiglia are gas only, and burning wood in them voids the warranty. The Grande Pro Duo is the hybrid: a 75,000 BTU propane burner along one wall and room for a wood fire on the floor, run separately or together. None of the five offers a natural gas option today; if you need one, ask us before you order and we will check with the brand.
🍕 What is the difference between the Allegro, Bambino and Fornello? ▼
The dome. All three share the same 15.7 inch refractory floor, 23,900 BTU burner, 21.7 by 22.4 inch body, 100 pounds and $1,695 price, and cook one 12 to 13 inch pizza at a time. The Allegro is a rounded barrel dome 43 inches tall with the chimney, the Bambino an octagonal dome at 44, the Fornello a five sided dome at 44. Choose the shape you want to look at; the pizza is the same.
🍕 Can I use an ItaliaForno oven on a balcony? ▼
The compacts are sized for it, and the manual's rule is open sky overhead: 8 inches from walls, 20 inches each side of the chimney, 40 inches above it, never under a roof or in a screened porch. What the manual cannot settle is your building. Many apartments, condominium associations and HOAs restrict propane cylinders on balconies, so check your lease or association rules before you order, and ask us if you want a second opinion on the space.
🍕 What comes in the box, and what do I need to buy? ▼
The oven with its burner fitted, the chimney and cap, the door, the refractory floor tiles, the thermometer, the igniter battery and the adapter that connects the oven to a standard US propane tank. You supply the tank, a cover, and the cart, block base or counter the oven sits on. Ask us what hose and regulator your setup needs at the oven's inlet before you order; it depends on where the tank sits.
🍕 How do ItaliaForno ovens ship, and what does delivery cost? ▼
Boxed on a pallet by freight from the brand's warehouse near Houston, Texas, in stock and usually on the truck within 7 business days. Orders over $750 ship free, and every pallet oven carries the $95 residential liftgate fee at checkout so the driver can lower it to your driveway; delivery is curbside. Inspect before signing and report damage within 24 hours. Unused ovens can be returned within 14 days.
