Collection: Countertop and Portable Outdoor Pizza Ovens

A countertop pizza oven sits on a surface you already have: an outdoor kitchen counter, a patio table, a tailgate, or an optional cart, with no dedicated stand in the crate. The four here cover the whole spread, from a 44-pound portable outdoor pizza oven with a motorized rotating stone that ships by parcel, to a propane countertop oven that runs 15 hours on one tank, a wood-or-propane hybrid with a window in the door, and a 46-inch dual chamber wood oven that turns a masonry counter into a pizzeria. Every one is sold by us as an authorized dealer. Below the ovens: what surface each one actually needs, portable versus permanent, a side-by-side table, and who should skip a countertop oven altogether. Still deciding on configuration? Our Pizza Oven Buying Guide covers it in plain language.

Portable or Permanent: Which Countertop Pizza Oven Do You Actually Want?

A pizza oven countertop buyers picture is usually one of two very different ovens, and the first decision is which one you mean. A portable countertop pizza oven is light enough to carry, sits on a patio table or a tailgate, runs on a propane cylinder, and comes back inside when the weather turns. In this collection that is the Halo Versa 16, and only the Versa; nothing else here is something you lift alone. If you searched for a mini pizza oven or a tabletop pizza oven, the Versa is the honest match, and the other three are not.

A permanent countertop pizza oven sits on an outdoor kitchen surface and stays there. The Kucht Napoli, the Summerset 32, and the Tuscan Chef GX-DL are all outdoor countertop pizza ovens in that sense: no stand in the crate, so you supply the surface, and the surface has to carry the weight and take the heat. The Summerset needs a non-combustible top; the GX-DL needs masonry or an engineered counter built for it. Buy the oven and the surface as one decision, not two.

The middle path is a cart sold separately. The Versa has the Halo Countertop Cart with tank storage and locking casters, and the Napoli has its own Napoli cart with enclosed storage and fold-out tables, which turns either countertop oven into one of our freestanding cart pizza ovens without buying a different oven.

Countertop Pizza Ovens by Use

Portable outdoor pizza oven for patios, tailgates, and small spaces

The Halo Versa 16 is the lightest oven we carry at under 44 pounds, with a motorized 16-inch rotating cordierite stone that turns the pizza for you and dual burners rated at 21,100 BTU. The chamber is rated to 950°F; the stone, which is what cooks the crust, sits around 750°F after about 12 minutes, which is a 16-inch pizza in under five minutes. It runs on a 20-pound cylinder or a 1-pound camping canister, and a manufacturer natural gas conversion kit exists for a plumbed line. It is the one oven here that ships by parcel and the one oven here under the free shipping line. It cooks one pizza at a time, which is the honest reason not to buy it if you host crowds.

Propane countertop pizza oven for an outdoor kitchen

The Kucht Napoli is the heavier, more permanent countertop pick at about 125 pounds: 28,000 BTU dual burners, a firebrick floor, three colors, a four-year warranty, and roughly 15 hours of cooking on one 20-pound tank. It is also one pizza at a time. Kucht rates it for outdoor residential use only, so it is not a food truck oven and not a garage oven.

Hybrid countertop pizza oven, propane or wood

The Summerset 32 Hybrid is the outdoor-kitchen countertop pick when you want a real wood fire some weekends: propane or wood, a 390 square inch cordierite stone, a viewing window in the door, 932°F, made in the USA. It needs a non-combustible surface, and it is heavy enough that a wood table is not an option.

Large wood fired countertop pizza oven for masonry builds

The Tuscan Chef GX-DL is the outlier: a 46-inch dual chamber wood oven that cooks three 18-inch pizzas at once at 950°F, sold without a cart so it can sit on a masonry counter or drop into a structure. The fire burns in its own chamber below the deck, so the stone heats from underneath. It belongs in the same conversation as our built-in pizza ovens; if you are not building a base for it, look at the cart version instead. Our guide to built-in vs freestanding pizza ovens covers when a permanent base pays off.

Four ovens, four different jobs. Read the weight column first; on a countertop oven the surface decides more than the burner does.

How Big a Countertop Pizza Oven Do You Need?

The Versa and the Napoli cook one pizza at a time, which is fine for a couple or a family that eats in shifts and slow for a party of ten. The Summerset's 390 square inch stone is a one-large-or-two-small oven. The GX-DL cooks three 18-inch pizzas at once and roasts a turkey on the second level. Match the oven to the number of people you actually feed most weeks, not the biggest night of the year; our pizza oven size guide works through it by household and by party size.

On heat, the pattern is the same as everywhere else in the store: the Versa's chamber says 950°F but the stone cooks at about 750°F, a four to five minute New York style bake; the Summerset on wood and the GX-DL reach the 900°F range where a 90-second Neapolitan pizza lives. Our post on pizza oven temperature explains why the deck number matters more than the chamber number.

Who Should Skip a Countertop Pizza Oven Altogether

If you have no surface for it, a countertop pizza oven becomes a cart oven the moment it arrives, and you have paid for the cart in a second box. Look at the freestanding cart pizza ovens, which come with their own stand, or the wider gas pizza ovens collection. If you want a truly portable pizza oven outdoor at the campsite and back in the trunk, only the Versa qualifies; the other three are permanent installs that happen to lack a cart.

Every oven here is rated for outdoor use only, in open air, with clearance from eaves, siding, and railings; a countertop oven sitting against the house wall is the most common placement mistake we see in customer photos. None is certified for a food truck or an enclosed space. If your budget is the deciding factor, our post on outdoor pizza oven cost lays out what each tier buys before you narrow to a configuration.

Shipping, Warranty, and Buying From Crustify

The Versa ships by parcel and arrives like any other package. The Napoli, the Summerset, and the GX-DL ship crated by freight to your curb with liftgate service, and all three are over the $750 free shipping line. Inspect the crate before you sign; freight damage is rare and fully covered when it is noted on delivery. The GX-DL wants two people and a clear path from the curb to the base you have built for it.

Because we are an authorized dealer for every brand on this page, the manufacturer warranty is valid, which is not something you can assume from a marketplace seller. Price match, financing at checkout, and a real person answering email are standard. If you are choosing between a countertop oven and a cart oven for the same money, ask before you order; a five-minute email beats a freight return.

Placement is the safety question on a countertop pizza oven: clearance from anything combustible, a cylinder that is never stored under or beside the oven while it runs, and a surface that will not scorch. NFPA's grilling safety page covers placement and propane handling in plain language, and it applies to every oven on this page.

Countertop Pizza Ovens: Frequently Asked Questions

Your Questions Answered Before You Buy

These are the questions we answer most often about countertop and portable pizza ovens, usually from someone with a patio table, a balcony, or an outdoor kitchen counter and no room for a cart. If yours is not here, email or call; the reply comes from the owner, typically the same day.

🍕 What surface can a countertop pizza oven sit on?
It depends on the oven. The Halo Versa 16 at under 44 pounds sits on any stable outdoor table with clearance around it. The Kucht Napoli at about 125 pounds wants an outdoor kitchen counter or its matching cart. The Summerset 32 needs a non-combustible surface, and the Tuscan Chef GX-DL needs masonry or an engineered counter built to carry it. Never a wood table for the last two.
🍕 Which is the best portable outdoor pizza oven you sell?
The Halo Versa 16, and it is the only truly portable oven here. Under 44 pounds, a motorized rotating stone that turns the pizza for you, dual burners, a stone at about 750°F in roughly 12 minutes, and it runs on a 20-pound cylinder or a 1-pound camping canister. It ships by parcel rather than freight. The tradeoff is capacity: one 16-inch pizza at a time.
🍕 Is a countertop pizza oven as good as a cart pizza oven?
Same oven, different base. The Kucht Napoli and the Summerset 32 cook identically whether they sit on a counter or a cart; the Tuscan Chef GX-DL is the cart-free version of the GX-D1. What changes is where the weight and heat go. If you already have a counter, the countertop oven saves the cost of a stand; if you do not, buy the cart version and skip building a base.
🍕 Can I use a countertop outdoor pizza oven on a balcony or a wood deck?
A balcony is a question for your building rules and your propane rules first; many prohibit cylinders. On a wood deck, the Versa on a non-combustible mat with clearance from railings and siding is a common and reasonable setup. The heavier ovens want a patio or slab, both for weight and for heat. Ask us with your setup details before ordering; a five-minute email beats a return.
🍕 Do you sell a mini pizza oven or a tabletop pizza oven?
The Halo Versa 16 is the closest thing we carry to a tabletop pizza oven: light, propane, and sized for one 16-inch pizza. We do not carry the smallest 12-inch class of mini pizza oven, because the stones in that class shed heat too fast between pizzas for the results we are willing to stand behind. If a 12-inch portable is what you need, we will say so rather than sell you the wrong oven.
🍕 Can a countertop pizza oven run on natural gas?
The Halo Versa 16 can, with the manufacturer's natural gas conversion kit and a plumbed line. The Kucht Napoli and the Summerset 32 are propane ovens, and the Tuscan Chef GX-DL burns wood only. If a natural gas line is part of your outdoor kitchen plan, tell us before you buy so the right oven and the right kit ship the first time instead of finding out after delivery.
